Health Benefits
  1. Pears: are an excellent source of dietary fiber and vitamin C. A medium pear contains over 10% of your DV for vitamin C and over 20% of your DV for dietary fiber. Pears have a creamy texture when they are added to a dairy-free smoothie. Leave the skin on to boost the pear’s extraordinary antioxidant levels.

  2. Bananas: are known for their high potassium levels, but they offer so much more. In fact, bananas have high levels of tryptophan, an essential amino acid, that may help reduce depression symptoms, according to researchers from the School of Population Health in Queensland Australia. Their review of clinical trials found that tryptophan performs better than placebos against depression symptoms.

  3. Mangoes: are tangy, sweet, and delicious. Mangoes are packed with essential vitamins and minerals like vitamin C, vitamin A, iron, potassium, and magnesium. Research shows that eating mangoes often may help lower cholesterol levels, at least according to an animal study published in the British Journal of Nutrition.

  4. Cashew milk: is a perfect plant-based milk for those who are going dairy-free. Be sure to select unsweetened cashew milk for this recipe; don’t worry, the pear, banana, and the mango will provide all the sweetness you need.

  5. Cranberries: are one of the outstanding flavors of fall. Like other berries, they are packed with phytonutrients and antioxidants. Their tart flavor pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the other fruits in our Bingo Bango Mango Smoothie.

  6. Hemp seeds: are an excellent source of essential fatty acids, essential amino acids, dietary fiber, and protein. Most high-powered blenders can break down the hemp seeds. However, if your blender struggles, you can whirl them in a spice grinder before adding to the recipe.
