Health Benefits
  1. Banana: this nutrient-dense heavyweight gives you a walloping dose of vitamins and minerals, including potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, and vitamin B6.

  2. Cauliflower: one of the best plant-based sources of an essential nutrient many people lack: choline. A half-cup serving contains 45 milligrams of choline, which keeps your metabolism, nervous system, liver, heart, cell membranes, and even your DNA healthy.

  3. Figs: contain prebiotics, which feed the good bacteria living in your digestive tract, keeping your gut biome balanced and functioning optimally.

  4. Almond milk ice cubes: depending on the brand, almond milk can offer up more calcium per serving than cow’s milk! One popular brand (Silk) contains 45% of your daily recommended intake, compared to about 30% in the same serving of cow’s milk.

  5. Cold brew coffee: one of the most heavily studied foods of the last decade, coffee has been linked with an overall longer lifespan, as well as a reduced risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and Parkinson’s disease, among other conditions.

  6. Vanilla: in addition to its delicious aroma and rich, sweet taste, research indicates that the chief chemical compound, vanillin, can lower cholesterol levels and alleviate symptoms of inflammatory conditions like arthritis.
