Health Benefits
  1. Avocados: give a creamy decadence to this green matcha smoothie. The avocado is packed with healthy fats and other nutrients that are associated with lowering bad cholesterol levels.

  2. Pistachios: are tropical nuts from the Mediterranean region. These buttery, creamy nuts have high levels of vitamin B6 and antioxidants, and they support healthy cholesterol levels according to the Cleveland Clinic.

  3. Kale: is a dense leafy green that is rich in so many nutrients, like vitamins K, A, and C, as well as minerals calcium and potassium. Kale is also a good source of amino acids and omega-3 fatty acids.

  4. Almond milk: is a creamy and nutrient-dense plant-based milk. Research shows that eating almonds reduces bad cholesterol levels, and these delicious nuts even support weight loss.

  5. Matcha green tea powder: is made from green tea leaves, and as a powder it dissolves well in healthy smoothie recipes. Research shows that matcha green tea powder has anticarcinogenic effects against both estrogen receptor-positive and estrogen receptor-negative breast cancer cells.

  6. Maple syrup: is the sweet sap from the maple tree. For the most intense and rich flavor, select a Grade B maple syrup. This is an excellent natural sweetener with a low-glycemic load.
