Health Benefits
  1. Cranberries: the latest research validates this tart berry as a highly effective nutraceutical that can help correct insulin resistance, improve your plasma lipid profile, prevent diet-induced weight gain, and decrease oxidative stress. All these effects can be especially beneficial for individuals  struggling with metabolic complications.

  2. Mango: this sweet and juicy fruit contains high levels of polyphenols, which have anti-inflammatory properties. Studies show adding mango to your diet can reduce your risk of diabetes, decrease your blood pressure, and shift the balance of your gut microbiome in ways that could lead to improved nutrient absorption and boosted metabolism.

  3. Orange juice: upping your vitamin C intake can increase your body’s fat-burning capacity. One study found that upping your citrus fruit intake, for example, by adding orange juice to your morning smoothie, can lead to significant weight loss.

  4. Almond milk: if you’re trying to shed pounds, unsweetened almond milk is a great option for adding a dash of creaminess, since it averages 40 calories per cup yet still provides 50% of your daily recommended calcium intake.

  5. MCT oil: a key ingredient in this metabolism-boosting smoothie, medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are a kind of fatty acid derived from coconut oil. Research shows they can actually speed up your metabolism, helping you to lose more fat—and stubborn belly fat specifically. They also curb appetite.

  6. Almond granola: the precise nutrition facts of the granola you use will determine its health benefits, but generally speaking, oats offer up generous doses of fiber and iron, while nuts add filling protein and healthy fats.
