Spiced Persimmon and Fig Smoothie

This fall smoothie marries sweet, honeyed persimmon with rich, earthy fig to great effect. With a recipe that includes yogurt and almond milk, you know you’re sure to get a decadently creamy smoothie. The secret to the ideal luxuriously thick texture is to prepare almond milk ice cubes in advance!

Ingredients
  • 1 persimmon, sliced

  • 1/2 cup yogurt

  • 2 figs

  • 4 almond milk cubes

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup almond milk

Instructions
  1. Slice 1 persimmon and place it in your blender or food processor.

  2. Scoop in a 1/2 cup of yogurt.

  3. Add 2 figs.

  4. Pop out 4 almond milk ice cubes on top of the rest of the ingredients.

  5. Measure and add in 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.

  6. Pour in a 1/2 cup of almond milk.

  7. Blend until a thick, creamy, and utterly tempting smoothie emerges.
